Q Strategies was honored to sponsor Glass Street Live 2021, Glass House Collective’s free, family-friendly block party, by promoting and gaining media attention for the event. The event was designed to bring the community together to enjoy local eats, businesses, talent, and more from historic Glass Street.
Community volunteers convened by Glass House Collective partnered with Chattanooga Neighborhood Arts Partnership to host Glass Street Live on Nov. 6. This was the second year that Glass Street Live was committee-led, giving the neighborhood the reins to plan and facilitate the event. Glass Street residents, business owners, church leaders, and organizational partners made up the Glass Street Live event committee.
Q Strategies highlighted this important transition in our communication efforts. In the press release previewing the event, the team used language that emphasized how Glass Street residents were in charge of organizing and executing the event.
Our team wrote a press release, pitched to the media, and scheduled interviews leading up to the event. We focused on communicating how the event celebrated the Glass Street community while also drawing in those who may not typically visit Glass Street.
We pitched Glass Street Live’s story to the media, successfully helping to land 9 media placements and gaining positive publicity. The event was featured in several online articles. NOOGAtoday wrote about Glass Street Live in the first section of its daily newsletter, detailing the what, when, where, and why of the event and how people could get involved. Additionally, NOOGAtoday made a post about the event on Instagram that received 359 likes.
