Earlier this week, Q Strategies partner, Tom Griscom, was featured by News Channel 9 as part of their remembrance of the Berlin Wall's fall. In 1987, Tom worked in the Reagan administration, where he served as the communications director. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Locals Remembers As Germany Celebrates 25th Anniv. Of Berlin Wall's Fall

This Sunday marks the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall that divided Germany into East and West.

The Berlin Wall went up in 1961 to protect Soviet-controlled East Germany, and its purpose was to prevent people from leaving and defecting to the West.

NewsChannel9's Briona Arradondo spoke with locals who remember how war-torn that country was and how the United States made a bold move when President Ronald Reagan uttered the famous words in 1987, "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!" He spoke before thousands of German citizens.

The nation was divided by iron and concrete, and former director of communications for the Reagan administration Tom Griscom was in Berlin for the speech.
