The Q Strategies team worked with Burnside to announce the $25 million mixed-use development on the Southside in April 2020. Over the last year, the project took shape, and the Q team also marketed the June 2021 preview party, writing press materials, and gaining media attention for the Burnside Neighborhood as the apartments officially opened.
The campaign was successful, demonstrated by more than 150 people attending the June 8 event. Burnside offered a “look and lease” special on the apartments, which led to several people signing leases at the preview party. The complex was more than 60% leased within only one month of opening.
In the weeks before the open house, the Q Strategies team created excitement and awareness for the preview party by reaching out to local social media accounts and sending a media advisory and press release to media contacts.
Due to our media outreach efforts, the event gained publicity, including online articles and television air time. WDEF News 12 attended the event and aired coverage that evening. Before the event, Q Strategies pitched and coordinated an early-bird interview for Dave Flessner and photographer Robin Rudd from the Chattanooga Times Free Press, leading to a print and online story about the event. The print version ran on the front page of the Business section.
Our team worked with River City Company and Second Story to promote the event on social media. Instagram account @downtownchatt posted the event graphic for over 23,000 followers to see. The post received high engagement with 99 likes and four comments.
